  • Windmill Project

    Fall/Winter 2018
    Windmill Project

Learning happens everywhere, especially at The Community School. You only need to look at the 9 foot tall windmill gracing the Field of Dreams to be reminded of this. With the guidance and support of the lower school maintenance crew Barry and Keith, Sean O’Beirne, a group 4 student, worked on and off for weeks to construct this magnificent metal structure. Assembling the windmill was a special project that Sean took on. He was involved in the process from beginning to end. He helped construct the windmill as well as figure out how to anchor it so that it would be level, stable and sustain strong winds and lastly, where to display it. The final result is really quite stunning!
