Career Discovery Visits Totowa, NJ Animal Hospital
In December students who participate in Career Discovery had an opportunity to visit the Totowa Animal Hospital and The Seven Star Pet Resort and Grooming.
There are so many opportunities to work with animals, and this trip focuses on highlighting veterinarian care and animal grooming.
The students meet with the veterinarian at the animal hospital while he examined a 13-week old puppy who had an intestinal issue. They were also allowed access to the surgery room while a Papillon was sedated and had her teeth cleaned.
At the daycare and grooming facility, the students saw two grooming sessions and finally participated in the “free play” room where seven dogs enjoyed fun and attention from our lucky students.
