About
School and Community
Community High School is located in Teaneck, NJ, a thriving community of 40,000 with links to New York City, Westchester County, and most points in New Jersey. The Community High School population is not bound by geographic areas but comprises a student body from forty-eight different sending school districts. Community High School is one of the few schools in New York or New Jersey that serves bright, college-bound learning disabled adolescents. Few programs have demonstrated the success in teaching this population that Community High School has achieved.
The High School division, established in 1976, provides students in grades 9-12 with skilled remedial help and a challenging academic curriculum. It offers a complete high school experience for the bright adolescent with learning disabilities, providing basic preparation for studies at the college level or within a post-secondary program.
