On May 14th, CHS hosted Timothy Shoemaker, who presented an important message about the dangers associated with vaping. Vaping is the act of inhaling and exhaling the aerosol, often referred to as vapor, which is produced by an e-cigarette or similar device.
According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, teens are using vaping in record numbers.
Save Your Breath is a 60-minute school assembly that highlights the sudden and rapidly expanding vaping epidemic. This paradigm-shattering presentation is credited for “dramatically changing our student’s attitudes and beliefs surrounding nicotine delivery devices.”Teens are attracted to the marketable technology and flavorings seen in vaping devices. It is essential that our students have accurate information. We were thrilled to have Mr. Shoemaker answer our student’s questions.
