On May 22, 2018, The New Jersey Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Development held its annual Dare to Dream Conference at William Paterson University. This student leadership conference focuses on preparing students with disabilities for college, employment, and career, as well as highlights examples of self-advocacy. A positive learning experience for all, the Dare to Dream conference inspires students to reflect and think on the obstacles they have overcome and focus on their bright futures. Some of our students were brave enough to stand up to a full house and speak about their experiences as a high school student with learning disabilities.
