Transform your body, mind, and spirit with CHS’s newest elective: Yoga and Mindfulness. This class incorporates Yoga postures with breath work, Mindfulness methods, and a Meditation practice, giving students useful tools to integrate into the real world. The benefits of Yoga are endless, including better flexibility, bone and spine health, muscle strength and balance.
Being Mindful, purposely focusing attention on the present moment without judgment, can contribute to less worry, anxiety, and stress. Meditation improves concentration and focus and promotes calmness and reduces stress. In today’s busy world, Yoga and Mindfulness is a useful approach to “slowing down for a moment.” Mindfulness is beneficial as it builds self-awareness, confidence and, ultimately full participation in a life filled with happiness.
